The site of Villa Harava was parcelled out from a large plot, which slopes gently to the south and has at its northern side a single-family house designed by Pekka Helin, built in 1992. The spatial arrangement of Villa Harava is based on half-levels. From the main entrance, stairs lead down to the bottom floor containing sauna, sitting room with fireplace and bedrooms, and up to a large space comprising living, dining and kitchen areas, which are connected to the master bedroom and balconies facing the morning and evening sun. The entrance level contains a study.
